While promoting nuclear power projects, CGNPG has launched the strategy of developing clean energy, mainly wind power and hydropower. The wind power projects are under construction including Huitengliang, Suqiteyouqi, Durbote, Wulijie and Wulanchabu (Inner Mongolia), and Guazhou (Gansu), Daan (Jilin), Chabei (Hebei), Taishan (Guangdong) with a total installed capacity of more than 1,000 MWe. Daan project (Jilin) and Guazhou (Gansu) have connected to grid with a total installed capacity of more than 100 MWe. Early-stage preparatory works have been launched for wind power projects in Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Gansu, Hebei, Guangdong, Helongjiang, Xinjiang, Fujian, Hainan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Liaoning with a total power reserve of more than 10,000 MWe.
