  • CGN constructed GNPS with technology introduced from other countries. With this high starting point, CGN always takes the way of “introduction, digestion, assimilation, innovation”. Based on the 1000MWe class NPP units introduced from other countries and several significant technical improvements, it builds its own proprietary brand CPR1000—Chinese improved pressurized water reactor and has the capability to design, construct and operate CPR1000 NPP in an integrated, specialized and large-scale way. In recent years, CGN constructed Taishan NPP with the introduction, digestion and assimilation of EPR, the 3rd generation technology, took part in the introduction of AP1000, the 3rd generation technology, relied on the six nuclear power R&D centers, collated the latest international safety standards, referred to the latest experience feedback in the international nuclear power field and kept on innovation. As a result, CGN gains positive development in the R&D of the 1,000 MWe 3rd generation technology—ACPR1000+ with independent intellectual property rights, as well as in the project of national high temperature gas-cooled reactor NPP.

    ACPR1000 is an advanced nuclear power technology developed by CGNPC with independent intellectual property right.
    Main performances meet the technical standards of the third generation  technology and the requirements of Post-Fukushima.
    Its engineering work is being made taking advantage of proven technology and experience feedback, in line with the national and international laws and regulations.
    Pursuing superb safety performance is focused, with due consideration to economic competitiveness, which satisfy the multiple requirements of the users in China and abroad.
